LIL SLIM - THUG'N & PLUGGIN

Lil Slim - Thug'n & Pluggin

Lil Slim feat/Mr.Ivan & Kilo G - Time To Murder

This would be Lil Slim's last solo album with cash money. It featured, Mr. Ivan, Kilo G, & PxMxWx. A real gangsta feel to this one, not as much bounce. Still classic Mannie production tho. It went down as a N.O. classic. Lil Slim is still making music till this day and has his own "Eagle St. Music" record label. I also still bang out to this one every now and again.. A must have for CMR fans.

KILO G - THE BLOODY CITY

Kilo G - Coasting

Kilo G - The Bloody City (1995)

This would be Kilo G's last solo album before his untimely death. The album features, Ms. Tee, Pimp C, Bun B, Mr. Ivan, & Skull Duggery. Much improvement on this album compared to his first. 1) a much cleaner sound, & 2) more realistic lyrics. By that i mean he's rappin about things that really happen, where as on sleepwalker he's rappin more about psychopathic killings and more of a horrorcore genre. With features by U.G.K. you know its gotta be decent. Check it out!

PxMxWx - HIGH LIFE + MORE

PxMxWx - High Life (1994)

PxMxWx - Home Grown (Demo Tape)

PxMxWx - Back Up Off Me (Cassette Single)

PxMxWx feat/Kilo G - Mouth On My Ganja

PxMxWx - Back Up Off Me

With this post Im also posting PxMxWx's 3 track demo tape. The 3 songs can be found on "Legalize Pass Tha Weed"but its pretty cool if your tryin to collect all their shit. Im aslo posting a Cassette single for the song "Back Up Off Me" it includes the dirty and radio versions of the song. this song was supposed to be on "High Life" but never made the cut. Again just a cool thing to have. Now on to "High Life." The album features, Kilo-G, Tec-9, Mr. Ivan, Lil Slim, Yella, Gangsta Dee (B.G.), & Bun B. This album is just awesome! It has better sound and much improvement from "Legalize Pass Tha Weed." It has a remix to "Alphabet Bitches" and the Bun B feature is amazing! Also whit this album Cash Money started doing kinda like Three 6 Mafia's "Posse Songs," where they would compile a bunch of the labels artists and do a song with just straight rap and no hook. They were called "Local 580." I love this album, well worth the download!

LIL SLIM - POWDER SHOP

Lil Slim - Powder Shop (1994)

Lil Slim - Eagle St. Bounce

This 6 track album featured B-32, PxMxWx, & Pimp Daddy. A little less bounce a little more gutta than the 1st. Well worth the download.

MR. IVAN - 187 IN A HOCKEY MASK

Mr. Ivan - 187 In A Hockey Mask (1994)

Mr. Ivan - Ruger #9

This album to me is one of the best to come out of this era of CMR! To this day, I still bang this on the regular. The album features, Lil Slim, Mannie Fresh, Kilo-G, Tec-9, Big Ben, & Big Heavy, & Black Jack of PxMxWx. Ivan's got a real unique voice and style to his rap. Although the "Triggerman Bells" can still be heard throughout the album, its a lil different then the typical bounce stuff Mannie was doin back then. Has a real gutta gangsta feel to it. This is an album you could put on and listen to every song without skipping. Kinda has a laid back feel to it also. A must have!

U.N.L.V. - STRAIGHT OUT THA GUTTA

U.N.L.V. - Straight Out Tha Gutta (1994)

U.N.L.V. feat/Lil Slim, Pimp Daddy, Gangsta Dee (B.G.), Mr. Ivan & PxMxWx - Local 580

U.N.L.V. - 6th & Barrone II

U.N.L.V.s 2nd album, which had a more cleaner sound, quality wise, and sold 20,000 more copies than the 1st. It would be the first time we would hear B.G.'s voice on an album. In these days he was going by the name "Gangsta Dee." The album also featured, Lil Slim, Pimp Daddy, Mr. Ivan, PxMxWx, & Local 580's Lady KK. With hits like "Bad Ass Yella Boy," & a Remix to "6th & Barrone,"many people say this album is better than the 1st, I say the opposite, but thats just me. Check it out and decide for yourself.

PIMP DADDY - STILL PIMPIN

Pimp Daddy - Still Pimpin (1994)

Pimp Daddy - Got 2 Be Real

His debut album, featuring Lil Slim & Ms. Tee. Lotta gangstafied shit on here, but bounce as to be expected. Track 4 reads "Got 2 Be Real #2, not sure why when it was really the 1st unless he considered it a remix to Lil Slims "Bounce Slide Ride." Not Sure... The real "Got 2 Be Real Remix" is on Pimp Daddys next album. Enjoy!

B-32 - I NEED A BAG OF DOPE

B-32 - I Need A Bag Of Dope (1993)

B-32 feat/Pimp Daddy & Ms. Tee - I Need A Bag Of Dope

Next up is B-32. I really wouldnt even call this an album. Also im not even sure this is the cover, being that this pic is from the back of Tec-9's "Straight Out Tha Gutta" and looks like someone just photoshopped the rest. Anyway Baby can only be heard on half the album, the rest is a bunch of Mannie Fresh, and DJ Crackout havin fun makin beats, which alone make it worth the listen. The title track on the album can also be heard on Pimp Daddy's "Pimpin Aint EZ." The album features Pimp Daddy & Ms. Tee.

MS. TEE - CHILLIN ON THA CORNER

Ms. Tee - Chillin On Tha Corner

The first album by the first lady of Cash Money. I personally have never heard this album. partly being, you cant find this anywhere!!! This is one of like 3 CMR albums that cannot be located. If anyone can find this BUY IT, DOWNLOAD IT immediately!!! And send me a link lol

LIL SLIM - THE GAME IS COLD

Lil Slim - The Game Is Cold (1993)

Lil Slim - Bounce Slide Ride

The first album from Lil Slim. From what i hear this is the only "tape only" release from the label. More classic production from Mannie. It was supposedly recorded in Brian "Baby" Williams' kitchen, making the quality a lil rough. Whatever the case this album had a couple hits. The first song "Bounce Slide Ride" would also go down in history as a bounce classic, being featured on many New Orleans Bounce compilations. The album featured Baby "B-32", Big Heavy, PxMxWx, Pimp Daddy, & Yella Boi. Lil Slim can be credited to bringing Lil Wayne & Turk to the label. If you aint heard it check it out!

PxMxWx - LEGALIZE "PASS THA WEED"

PxMxWx - Legalize "Pass Tha Weed" (1993)

PxMxWx - Alphabet Bitches

PxMxWx - Mo Bounce

Iberville Projects Most Wanted, "Big Man", "Big Heavy", & "Black Jack." Legalize "Pass Tha Weed" featured a gang of "firsts" for the label, it was the first Cash Money album that featured Mannie Fresh as a producer, even tho "6th N Barrone" came out first. This album if you cant tell featured all but if not a ton of weed smoking references. It was also the first time we would hear Cash Moneys new artists "Lil Slim", and "Mr. Ivan." The album also featured a guest appearance by down south legend "Bun-B" I belive it was also the first time we would hear Cash Money CEO Ronald "Slim" Williams on a track. This album would continue the "gangsta bounce" theme with Mannie using the "Triggerman Bells" throughout the album. The track "Mo Bounce" would go down in history as a N.O. Bounce classic. This again is a MUST HAVE for any "Old Cash Money" fan!

U.N.L.V. - 6TH N BARRONE

U.N.L.V. - 6th N Barrone (1993)

U.N.L.V. - 6th N Barrone

U.N.L.V. - U.N.L.V. Style

Cash Money Records 2nd release was also the 2nd album Mannie Fresh did work on. The first being PxMxWxs Legalize Pass the Weed, which i will be posting next. This album started a new style for Cash Money often referred to as "gangsta bounce". U.N.L.V.s style of calling out wards hoods and blocks mixed with Mannie Fresh's bounce style of production created an instant classic! This album also included the hit "U.N.L.V. Style" which many people thought was a diss to Partners N Crime saying that they were "jockin U.N.L.V.s style". This created constant back and fourth diss tracks between the two groups, and thus started a beef between Cash Money & Big Boy Records. This is a MUST HAVE in my opinion for any cash money fan! Great listen!

KILO G - SLEEPWALKIN (Updated)

Kilo G - Sleepwalker (Updated) (1992)

Kilo G - Psychopathic Killa

Were gonna start off with the "old cash money" releases. First up is "The Sleepwalker". It was the first release on Cash Money Records, Before Mannie Fresh, before B.G., before U.N.L.V. Kilo G was only 15 years old when this was released. It was produced by "Ro" And "Goldfingers", Little known producers out the N.O. Unlike other N.O. releases at the time this was straight up gangsta horror rather than bounce. It only had 7 tracks but a very good listen if your tryin to do your cash money history.
